An enduring topic of conversation and debate in the fundraising field is Board Giving. Charities and non-profits have varying experiences with this and often mention the resistance they encounter when asking their Board members to give financially. Most often members of the Board respond saying they give of their time which should be acceptable. Some react with surprise and dismay at being asked for money.
