CentrePoint Non-Profit Management continually seeks new Mentor Consultants to add to our roster for the Fund Development PLUS Program.
This one-of-a-kind mentoring and training program is an opportunity for you to employ your fund development skills to assist a charitable organization to dramatically improve its capacity to achieve its mission.

Expectations
As a Mentor Consultant, you will:
- Provide guidance to the board and staff of one charity on strategic fund development planning
- Assist a charity in the development of their case for support and expanding their knowledge and skills in various fundraising strategies
- Mentor and coach your assigned charity through program deliverables
- Facilitate at least one seminar for the charities Board
- Participate in round table discussions and training sessions
- Provide an average of 10 hours of mentorship a month for 10 months over a one-year commitment.
Qualifications
Mentor Consultants within this program are expected to be senior level fundraisers who are willing and able to share their knowledge, experience and passion for fundraising with an assigned charity. To be considered you will have:
- 10 years or more of professional fundraising experience
- A broad understanding of fund development theory and concepts
- Practical experience in the development and implementation of a fund development plan
- Practical experience in any of the following fund development areas:
- Annual Giving
- Special Events
- Capital Campaigns
- Major Gift Giving
- Grant/Proposal Writing
- Legacy Giving
- Corporate Sponsorship
- Fund Development Planning
- Development of Case for Support
- An understanding of a mentoring philosophy
- Previous consulting experience
- An ability to teach, guide and educate others about fund development principles
- Membership to professional association is required, possession of a CFRE designation preferred.
Remuneration
CentrePoint generally pays those selected to be Mentor Consultants a fee of $10,000 over the course of a year. This fee is paid on a monthly basis of $1,000 per month for 10 months of the year.
